Heather Maurer

I am an advocate for women's and children's health. I support out of hosptial birth, midwifery care, natural childbirth, breastfeeding and am an intactivist. I am one of the co-founders of Mother Health International, a nonprofit organization that is committed to reducing the maternal and infant mortality rates by creating healthy, sustainable holistic birth clinics using the midwifery model of care with culturally appropriate, education for the health and empowerment of women. I am a writer and currently working on my first novel.
