Born on April 11th in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, Heike Melani Silva Boane Ferro is a trailblazing young woman who discovered her passion for writing at an early age.
As a prolific blog writer and a dedicated researcher in chemical engineering, oil, and gas projects, Heike has made significant contributions to her fields of interest.

Achievements and Awards:

  • 2014: Won the DSTV Eutelsat Awards at the national level, representing Mozambique in the African contest.
  • 2017 & 2019: Secured first place in the Mozambique Gas Summit University Contest, becoming the first young woman to achieve this honor. Mozambique Gas Summit University Essay Contest
  • 2019: Awarded at the Scientific Journeys of Eduardo Mondlane University and EDM (Electricidade de Moçambique).

Currently, Heike is pursuing an MBA at a prestigious business school and working at OCG, one of Japan's leading consultancy firms. She is part of the Mozambique division in partnership with JICA Mozambique, focusing on sustainable energy production and usage.
