Henry Odunlami

The chief executive officer and medical director of Genpsych for nearly 15 years, Dr. Henry Odunlami oversees daily operations and strategic planning for the largest ambulatory detoxification facility in the state of New Jersey. Concurrently with his role with Genpsych, Dr. Henry Odunlami serves as CEO of Silvergate Academy, which provides education to children while they are undergoing behavioral health treatment. His responsibilities include overseeing the development of the special education curriculum.

Dr. Odunlami holds a bachelor of science in medicine and surgery from Ibadan University in Nigeria and completed a four-year psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York, where he also worked as a research assistant. After serving as the chief resident at the Montefiore Medical Center psychiatric emergency unit, Dr. Odunlami held attending psychiatrist positions at New Jersey hospitals including Alpena General Hospital and Morristown Memorial Hospital. In 2007, he was named one of America’s Top Psychiatrists. When he is not working, Dr. Odunlami enjoys playing golf, cycling, and playing chess.
