There comes a time in life when the road determines our course. Often the status quo is preventing our change of direction. Curves in the road slow us down and the double line becomes a barrier to our movement around the obstacles in our path.
If we keep moving, pressing ahead coming face to face with the obstructions, the way around them becomes clearer allowing us the freedom of movement to navigate to the next phase of life. Then the road becomes broader, the curves turn into straight open road, and the barriers are only a fading memory!
The obstacles change to opportunities, the barriers turn into stepping stones, and the curves turn us in another direction moving further away from the status quo that previously prevented our lane change.
The time has come to change lanes, race toward the obstacles, and push down the barriers. Change is coming, and with it exciting opportunities for growth both personal and professional on the road ahead, but change I must!
After 30 plus years in Law Enforcement a new direction is necessary. Leaving a career behind after half a life time of routine is difficult. Nonetheless the road is moving me away from this career into new opportunities.
