Nairobi, Kenya | Shakopee, Minnesota, USA

I am a principal consultant, programme leader, author, institution builder, and venture strategist with more than 10 years of experience turning complex organizational, public-sector, business, and community priorities into practical strategies, fundable programmes, strong partnerships, and implementation-ready solutions.

My work spans the United States, Kenya, Somalia, and the wider Horn of Africa, with experience across project and programme management, institutional strategy, international development, resource mobilization, organizational development, workforce development, research and evaluation, digital transformation, responsible AI, entrepreneurship, and public-sector engagement.

As Founder and Principal Consultant of Visionary Vantage LLC, I advise nonprofits, social enterprises, entrepreneurs, and mission-driven organizations on strategy, project design, resource mobilization, operational planning, evaluation, and organizational development. My work has contributed to funding-development efforts associated with more than USD 11 million, supported 24+ nonprofit and mission-driven organizations, and helped create or strengthen 22 businesses.

I am also Founder, Principal Consultant and Venture Builder with Minken Investment Ltd / Minken Africa, where I lead consulting, business development, project origination, institutional advisory, digital-platform development, and U.S.-Africa investment initiatives. My work includes technical proposals, implementation roadmaps, financial projections, partnership frameworks, and coordination of multidisciplinary teams.

My leadership background also includes co-founding and serving as Executive Director of the Afro-American Development Association, where I led organizational strategy, programmes, fundraising, operations, partnerships, workforce initiatives, public engagement, and services supporting African, immigrant, refugee, youth, and underserved communities.

Today, my work increasingly focuses on the intersection of strategy, technology and human development—including responsible AI, digital inclusion, public-service modernization, workforce readiness, climate resilience, institutional strengthening, and U.S.-Africa partnerships.

I hold a Bachelor of Science in Project Management, Magna Cum Laude, from Minnesota State University Moorhead and an Associate Degree in Human Resource Management from Minnesota State Community and Technical College. I also completed the Minnesota Young American Leaders Program, a Harvard Business School-affiliated leadership development programme.

I am the author of A Seat at the Table: A Memoir of Belonging, Power, Collapse, and Return and The Immigrant Founder: How Refugees, Outsiders, and First-Generation Builders Turn Survival into Enterprise.

I welcome connections with organizations, employers, development partners, investors, public institutions, and mission-driven leaders seeking experience in programme leadership, consulting, strategy, digital transformation, responsible AI, partnerships, organizational growth, and international development.
