Hyacinthe Miller

Greater Toronto Area

A graduate of York University in Toronto, Ontario, I'm a management and organizational development consultant by day, an avid reader and prolific writer the rest of the time. Since my first $65 a week job as assistant editor for an educational textbook firm I've honed my skills as a 'word nerd'.

I'm the Past President of the Writers Community of York Region (www.wcyork.ca), a member of Toronto Romance Writers, Romance Writers of America, Crime Writers of Canada and Toronto Sisters in Crime.

In 1999, the first short story I submitted, At the Bath, was selected for publication in Herotica 7, an anthology edited by Suzie Bright and Marcy Sheiner. My short story, Captives, was a finalist in the 2012 Whispered Words contest and is printed in the 2012 anthology. I've had articles published in print publications and online. I'm currently editing a novel, The Fifth Man and my non-fiction/literary memoir (Police Officers: Journeys from Recruit to Chief) based on over 70 interviews, tidying up an anthology of erotic short stories (Handy) and revamping my non-fiction Diva Travel Guide.
