Olanrewaju is a Nigerian-born, Australian- trained Project Management professional. He works at Aurecon - an Asia Pacific design, engineering and advisory company.
He is a Co-Lead of the Limelight Sustainability Pillar at Aurecon and a member of the Sustainability by Design sprint.
He holds First-Class Honours in Construction Management from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
He transitioned from the pharmaceutical industry as a Quality Assurance Manager, to the building and construction industry beginning as a Construction Cadet, Project Engineer Cadet to a Systems and Safety Role and now a Project Management Specialist.
In his role as a Quality Assurance Manager, Olanrewaju was responsible for products quality assurance and validation, process control and documentation in GMPs and regulatory compliance.
Olanrewaju was responsible for all projects’ Quarterly Audits, HSEQ audits, ISO accreditation gap analysis, monitoring the business compliance with WHS legislations and updates including continual upskilling of the Site Supervisors group through development of systems and safety training and assessment materials.
Prior to his current role, he contributed to delivering the final and largest development( Project Value: $156 Million) precinct- Nightfall, in Canberra, Australia’s capital city.
Olanrewaju is contributing to safe and quality delivery of multimillion dollars infrastructure and construction projects through engineering consultancy, project development, implementation of systems, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
His greatest motivation as a Project Management Professional from a minority group in the civil and engineering industry is promoting and deepening workplace diversity and inclusion of ethnic minority professionals in the industry towards diverse output.
He lived for over 3 decades in Africa, then the United Kingdom, and now lives permanently in Australia.
