Ingrid Nielsen

Ingrid is the founder of buZZgen, a full service online marketing company. Ingrid’s expertise is sought after by both ad agencies and direct clients alike. Her main focus is developing and managing successful strategies for clients ranging from luxury travel to network security devices. Notorious for her blunt, bottom-line focus, Ingrid is often heard asking, “Exactly what problem are we trying to solve here?” She’s also just as often expounding – with rabid enthusiasm – on the benefits of online marketing. This isn’t such a bad thing, considering that it often yields significant results such as a 10X ROI for her clients. Prior to starting her own business, Ingrid was the Director of Media and Analytics at Clear Ink, a digital marketing strategy and services company. At Clear Ink, was responsible for developing online media & marketing strategies for clients such as Autodesk, Bell Sports, 24-Hour Fitness, John Muir Health, Patelco, Fair Isaac and many more. Before that, Ingrid joined Be Free (acquired by ValueClick), where she architected and launched one of the first SEM services in the affiliate marketing space. Ingrid is active in the local media community, speaking at events, as a Chair for the SEMPO San Francisco Chapter and an occasional writer for DM Review.
