Crystal Tullio

My name is Crystal. My initials spell C.A.T.

This cat is usually found with her nose in a book. That's how I found a job at my local library when I was in high school. I worked at that library for nine years and I loved every second of it. I knew that whatever my future held, it would have to involve reading and books.

I graduated from college with a B.A. in English and a minor in Management. I was go to graduate school and get my M.L.I.S. , but I I decided that before I could go to graduate school I needed to broaden my horizons and gain work experience outside of the library.

I'm glad it did, because doing so helped me realize that:

1) I love customer service and the opportunity to help others.

2)I love learning, and that was part of why I enjoyed working at the library so much (there was always something new to learn).

3)Despite the work experience and broadening my horizons, I still wanted to get my M.L.I.S.

4)Waiting to get my Masters, however, allowed me to grow as a person and an employee

5)Learning plays a really big role in our lives.

That's why I ended up pursing my ME.d./M.L.I.S. with School Library Media certification. I'm currently living in Ohio with my dog, Layla, and working part time while I go to school. I'm enjoying the opportunity to learn more the things I love and am passionate about:

Libraries and learning.
