John D. Harden

John D. Harden is an enterprise and data reporter for the Houston Chronicle.

He began working for the Chronicle in 2014 after spending almost two years at the Denton Record-Chronicle.

And before the DRC he worked for the Cleburne Times-Review reporting on county government.

John graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with degrees in broadcasting and urban affairs. He wrote for his college newspaper, The Shorthorn, and held a few positions including news editor.

His works have appeared in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Dallas Morning News, The Fort Worth Business Press, the Community Impact Newspaper and the Cleburne Times-Review.

His skills also include analyzing data and building interactive maps, charts and other visualizations.
