James Fontanella-Khan

James Fontanella-Khan is the Financial Times’ Mumbai correspondent and India online editor. He was previously an Assistant News Editor on FT.com’s World Desk in London and before that a Dow Jones Newswires reporter in London. In 2011 he received an "Honourable Mention" at the Sopa Editorial Excellence Awards for his "Mumbai: Living the Dream" reportage . While, in 2006 he was shortlisted for the Student News Writer of the Year. He has a Economics degree from the University of London, an MA in European Politics from the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris - Sciences Po, and MA in International Journalism form City University. He has also written for the Sunday Telegraph, the British weekend newspaper, and Il Manifesto, an Italian daily.
