Mike Purvis

My name is Mike Purvis, and I am the founder of J Michael’s Painting, Inc. I started the company in 1991 with a simple goal: to do the job properly and treat every customer with respect. I didn’t have a detailed business plan at the beginning. What I did have was a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and a belief that people notice when you care about the small things.

Over the past thirty years, I’ve built my career around planning well, communicating clearly, and paying close attention to detail. I often say that success begins long before a brush touches the wall, and I stand by that. Good preparation, tidy work, and consistent follow-through make all the difference in a project.

Much of my drive comes from lessons I learnt from my father, who taught me the value of hard work. That shaped my “never-quit” attitude, which has carried me through challenges and helped me build a strong and reliable company.

Even after decades in the industry, I continue to refine my methods and improve the way we work. I take pride in staying involved in daily operations and ensuring that every customer receives the care, honesty, and professionalism that define J Michael’s Painting, Inc.
