Nature and biological science fanatic as a youngster, back home in France I felt in a jar of fine wine and never came out.
One can only learn what wine is all about by making a few good examples himself, so I did just that... My flying winemaker career brought me from Chateau Margaux to Kangaroo Island (South Australia), through Sonoma County, Ribera del Duero, Tuscany, Margaret River and Toro. Understanding people, places and vines, and how their combined languages translate into their wines was my lynchpin. I found my inspiration in the steps of Bordeaux winemakers Michel Rolland, Denis Dubourdieu, Jacques Lurton.
In 2009, I ran aground the shores of New Zealand, working at making my expert wine knowledge available and useful to the world's wine community with the world leading website Wine-Searcher.com. From our island flooded with Sauvignon Blanc, I embraced the world of wine throught the WSET Diploma, and the few imports we get here.
New beginnings in 2015 with a ranking among the Top 10 Wine Influencers on social media and my website SocialVignerons.com receiving the 2015 Best New Wine Blog Award.
Social Vignerons is a website made by the wine community for the wine community: "The World of Wine's Got Talent..."
The blog showcases all the talent found in the many facets of the world of wine: its people, its places, the amazing knowledge that relates to it, the enjoyable moments with friends matching with food or traveling, the processes and products, accessories, and everything else around it…
