Juan Antonio Giner

Journalist since 1968, Journalism professor from 1975 to 1995, and media mangament consultant since 1982. Editor of INNOVATIONS IN NEWSPAPERS since 1999, and INNOVATIONS IN MAGAZINES since 2012. Born in Barcelona (1947), lived, worked and studied in Barcelona, Madrid, Pamplona (Spain), New York, San Francisco, Detroit, and Norfolk (USA), and St. Davids (UK). I studied Journalism and I have a PhD in Law. I was University of Navarre School of Journalism vice dean, visting professor at Columbia (New York) and Stanford (Palo Alto), and Harvard University senior research fellow. The Harvard University Nieman Journalism Lab called me "An Outspoken Fan of Newspapers." I was the first European Director of the Society of Newspaper Design (SND), founded the SND Spanish Chapter, and the Malofiej Awards. I am the president and founder of INNOVATION International Media Consulting Group, London, UK, we have done work for more than 100 leading media companies like The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, Springer, Fairfax, Le Monde, News International, Correio, O Estado de S.
