Jack Rosevear
Volunteer Fire Captain in San Rafael, California
The holder of an associate degree in fire technology from Columbia College and a criminal justice administration graduate of Sonoma State University, Jack Rosevear spent the first five years of his career as a patrol officer with Sausalito Police Department before pursuing a career in firefighting. From 1985 to 1991, Jack Rosevear worked as a fire apparatus engineer with the Marin County Fire Department and, over the course of the next 25 years, held positions with progressive responsibilities at different fire departments throughout California.
During 11 years with the Marin County Fire Department, Jack Rosevear managed a variety of special projects in areas such as code enforcement and fire prevention and served as its media representative. He also helped establish the interagency Fire Safe Marin program and served on the California Conference of Arson Investigators' board of directors. Since then, he has held executive-level roles with the Cloverdale Fire Protection District, the County of Sonoma Department of Emergency Services, and the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety. Mr. Rosevear presently serves as volunteer fire captain with the Two Rock Fire Department and was named its Volunteer Firefighter of the Year in 2017.
