Jack Shaoul

After his graduation from Jamaica’s Queens High School for the Sciences in New York, Jack Shaoul enrolled at RCA Institutes (now Technical Career Institutes). There, he pursued an academic schedule which included studies in engineering and electronics. Following an 18-month stint with the U.S. Air Force, Mr. Shaoul applied his various talents to entrepreneurship and opened a window and lamp repair shop. As head of the store, he supervised the repair of high-quality Tiffany leaded glass lamps and Tiffany stained glass windows. Seeking to expand his enterprise, Jack Shaoul then opened Universe Antiques, a boutique he oversees to this day. A multifaceted shop, Universe Antiques features a broad collection of European art glass, 19th-century sculptures, and American and European bronzes. A creative force in several respects, Jack Shaoul bears a number of passions and stays active in several artistic pursuits, including filmmaking, playing music, and writing. As a filmmaker, he is credited with writing, directing, and producing Robot in the Family, a 1994 film distributed by A-Pix starring Joe Pantoliano and John Rhys-Davies. Mr. Shaoul also frequently serves as an executive producer of independent films, with eight completed to date. A dedicated Renaissance man, Mr. Shaoul has applied his talents for writing to more than 50 film scripts and over 200 children’s stories. Jack Shaoul currently resides in New York City.
