​My name is Jackson Siporin. I'm from New York City and I have been playing saxophone and writing music most of my life. I started getting into music with jazz, improvising over the blues, playing in big bands, and writing my own music on guitar. It wasn't until I attended LaGuardia High School for the Arts that I discovered my passion for combining my musical abilities with my writing and photography skills, and began overseeing numerous artistic projects and learning creative direction. I spent my time in high school billing shows in the local clubs and venues around the city, while at the same time, rehearsing my own musical projects and enlisting many of my friends to do so. More recently, at Syracuse University, I have spearheaded my own band, NONEWFRIENDS., which has garnered a legitimate following on Spotify. In addition to performing on sax and guitar, I am lead songwriter and overall creative director, responsible for branding and managing the band.
