Holder of a BS in accounting from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, James Castille has spent nearly three decades as a business consultant, CPA, and chief financial officer (CFO) with companies in Houston, Texas, Summit, Mississippi, and Lafayette, Louisiana. Since 2003, he has led as the owner of LUMA Capital, LLC, a business consulting firm headquartered in Lafayette. There, James Castille consults with companies in the oil and gas, lumber, and other industrial sectors on matters of commercial insurance, acquisition financing, and turnaround strategies.

Complementing his work with LUMA Capital, Mr. Castille serves as CFO of Empire Group in Summit, Mississippi, a family-owned company that operates six distinct corporations in the logistics, industrial, and midstream oil and gas industries. Since joining Empire Group three years ago, he has designed and implemented several cost and inventory-control measures that have helped the company increase profit and EBITDA by 200 percent while establishing several significant lines of credit.

In addition to his current roles, Mr. Castille led as CFO of the international business unit of Texas-based Dynamic International, where his achievements included spearheading a complex $700 million project in Angola, Africa. An active member of the field, he belongs to professional groups such as the Society of Louisiana CPAs. Outside of his professional life, he pursues a diverse range of hobbies that includes duck hunting, fishing, and traveling.
