James Dixon, II

James Dixon, II has an extensive background in pastoral ministry, community empowerment, activism and leadership. He is the senior pastor of The Community of Faith Church and founder of several organizations and initiatives: Good Gang USA (1994), Be Your Brother’s Keeper, Not Your Brother’s Killer (2012), Harris County Council for A Safer County (2012), and Create a Safer Place for Me (2013), Black Men Rise (2014). He was appointed Advisor of the Harris County Constable & Harris County Sherriff’s Office. He has authored several books: The Difference Is Vision; If God Is So Good, Why Are Blacks Doing So Bad?; Unleash Your Faith Unlock God's Power; and The Secret Of The Seed. James Dixon, II is also a published songwriter/producer.

Former Board Positions: United Way of Greater Houston; Metropolitan Transit Authority; Houston
NAACP; and the Acres Homes Chamber of Commerce. Present Board Positions Samaritans Feet, Inc., an organization
that has put over 6 million pairs of shoes on the feet of poor and bare feet children in 60 countries around the world.

James W. E. Dixon, II, has received numerous proclamations from dignitaries such as Mayor Lee P. Brown, State Representative Sylvester Turner and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. Dixon has also organized and implemented the following community outreach programs:

• Samaritan’s Feet, Over 6,000,000 pairs of shoes distributed.
• Chaired the National Baptist Convention of America Social Justice Committee 1995-1999. • Hurricane Ike Relief (2008): Served 100,000 meals and care packages to Houston citizens. •India Earthquake Relief Fund. Recognized by the Consulate General of India and Indo-American Community Coalition for leading a relief campaign.
