James Sidd DDS

James Sidd, DDS, is the Dental Service Chief of Tohatchi Health Center in New Mexico. Dr. Sidd began working with Tohatchi Health Center in 2009, when he was hired as a staff dentist. After one year, he was promoted to the job of Acting Chief at the clinic. James Sidd, DDS, served in this role for another year and then advanced to his current position as Chief.

At Tohatchi Health Center, James Sidd, DDS, treats Native Americans residing on the Navajo Indian Reservation. Located in the southeastern portion of the Navajo Nation, Tohatchi Health Center is one of the area's premier health facilities. The center opened in 1994, supported by the Navajo Area Indian Health Service. It provides medical and ambulatory care services 40 hours each week for roughly 8,000 individuals in the vicinity.

In addition to dental care, Tohatchi Health Center offers a range of services, including pharmaceutical care, physical therapy, optometry, X-ray services, public health nursing, and health education. Dr. Sidd's responsibilities include managing the main dental clinic, where he supervises the facility's staff dentist, dental resident, dental hygienist, and six dental assistants. James Sidd, DDS, also provides specialty services for patients, such as endodontics (including root canal treatment) and fixed and removable prosthodontics (tooth implants and dentures).

In addition to his work at Tohatchi Health Center, James Sidd, DDS, practices hospital dentistry at the center's inpatient hospital, Gallup Indian Medical Center. He holds a Bachelor's degree and an MBA from Vanderbilt University, and he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina.
