James Gordon Winkford is a health care activist involved in efforts to hold health insurance companies accountable, make sure that everyone entitled to access under the ACA receives it, and the large insurers do not illegally or improperly cancel coverage when patients most need it most. He has also researched disparities in the delivery of health care and the role played in that by many of the nation's largest health insurers.
