James works in the Japanese video game industry as a freelance consultant and producer whilst researching and writing a book about its history.

In a former life he was a headhunter and then an agent in the self same industry, meeting and working with some of the best creators in the country.

Down time is spent engrossed in comics, games and films with a side helping of bodybuilding, just to provide some (un)balance.

80～90年代前半の日本発ゲームを愛するあまり、人生の舵を日本に向けて出港してしまった変わったイギリス人。

初仕事でゲーム業界に特化した人材紹介会社に勤務して、
ゲームクリエイターと会う毎日を送ってきたとても強運な男。20年経っても仕事は変わってもゲーム関係と強運は変わらず幸せ者。

この貴重な経験を最大に活かし、
日本語でさえ情報が希少なゲームクリエイターにもスポットを
当てるべくゲーム業界の歴史について執筆することに決心する。
