James Hurley

London, UK

I went to school, I went to sixth form, I went to university, and now I have reached what people keep calling "the real world". It's a shame everything I have done up until now was mere practice and everything I have accomplished has been a test run, now apparently it's time for the real thing.

I call myself an audio engineer. It's a broad area of work in which I am carving a space for myself.
I have worked in studios, been a front of house and monitor mixer, toured with bands, sold merch, been a VIP snob and been to so many conferences that I wasn't invited to yet was not allowed to sleep through I would lose sleep again counting them up. I have some ideas for the future, but I like it being vague, at least for now.

I want to do things for myself and create my own path, at the same time I like working with like-minded individuals.
For me it boils down to fun. If it's not fun, it's probably not worth doing.

By the way, get in touch if you need an 'audio guy' or want some advice on something audio related.
