Most recently, I was a Senior National Correspondent for MTV News, covering national politics and social justice during the 2016 presidential election and beyond. I also co-hosted the MTV podcast THE STAKES, where I interviewed luminaries ranging from Rep. John Lewis to director Ava DuVernay.

Previously, I served as a Senior Editor at New Republic, where I wrote and edited columns and features for both print and digital. There, I also hosted the podcast INTERSECTION, which wrestled with the politics of identity, and profiled jazz legend Terence Blanchard.

Prior to this phase of my journalism career, I served for years as a segment producer for two MSNBC programs, THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW and MELISSA HARRIS-PERRY.

I've also written for the New York Times, the Washington Post, BuzzFeed, and Esquire. Appearances have included a number of cable news programs, WNYC and KCRW radio, and various podcasts. I also am a public speaker and can be booked through FRESH Speakers.

My prior stops include NFL Films, HBO Sports, and CNN. I have three Sports Emmys on the shelf.

Cleveland will always be home.
