Jamilatu Koroma

The recipient of a bachelor's degree in philosophy and gender studies from Trent University, Jamilatu Koroma is a Toronto-based businesswoman who owns the online fashion company Showstopperscloset.com. Leveraging her passion for fashion with her business management skills, Jamilatu Koroma oversees all aspects of the company from recruiting and hiring employees to inventory management and customer support. She also performs all blogging and photography activity as required for the website.

Prior to establishing the online fashion company, Jamilatu Koroma worked as a personal assistant and receptionist for G3 Contracting Group, as well as a telemarketer for Shop Ease Food. She also has prior content development experience by serving as a content developer for the Peterborough, Ontario-based Writer's Block.

In addition to her love of fashion and interest in exploring issues relating to race, gender, and class, Ms. Koroma maintains a healthy lifestyle in regards to her mind and body. She enjoys reading, working out regularly, and gardening. In 2017, she volunteered with community garden programs in both Peterborough and Oshawa.
