Jan Dowker

Jan Dowker is a public relations practitioner with extensive experience in media relations, message development, strategic issues management, promotional writing and grass roots mobilization. She has 25 years of experience in communications, politics, and government affairs for public, private and nonprofit organizations. Prior to starting her own company, Jan served as director of public relations for S. Robert August & Company, Inc., of Colorado, and worked for Michigan Senate Democratic Leader, John D. Cherry, Jr., the former Lieutenant Governor of Michigan. She also served in numerous communications capacities with the Michigan House Democratic Caucus, Michigan Senate Democratic Caucus, and members of the state legislature. She has worked on political campaigns throughout the United States, including California, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma, New York, and New Jersey, serving as a consultant, political director, campaign manager and field manager.
