Janet Engelbert

An avid world traveler, Janet actively seeks out cultures and experiences different from her California roots. She's carried medicine down the Amazon in a canoe, watched the sun rise over Karnak and, in an emergency, had prescription lenses made by a street vendor in Hanoi's crowded market.

In between travel opportunities, Janet thrives on her job at Oracle where she keeps people connected to the strategies, opportunities and programs they need to keep the wheels of the organization moving. "I have the same passion in my job that I have in my travel," says Jan. "I love connecting with people and finding common ground. While my role as a Director of Communications at Oracle has me using a wide variety of communication tools (oral and written presentations, video and social media) I still believe the most powerful communication is delivered with eye contact and a smile."

A long time resident of San Francisco, Janet loves the City vibe and character. She and her partner Dave, love to explore the local districts on foot and sample the wide variety of cuisines in local eateries. Janet rarely misses an opportunity to hear live music or get out to meet people different from herself.
