Janet Oberholtzer

Born into a very-traditional strict Mennonite family. Started pushing boundaries around age 6. Met Jerry at age 17, married him at 20. Left the boxes of my childhood. Birthed 3 boys from age 22 to 27, while starting our own business. I began running as a way to stay sane.

Sold biz/house in 2003, bought motorhome and began

a once-in-lifetime adventure around the country,

planning to travel about a year.

Accident in CA six months later brought a sudden end

to trip and life as I knew it. Jerry and boys were fine.

I almost lost my life ... and my leg. Somehow I defied the

odds and recovered better than expected. After years of

surgeries and therapy, I returned to running in 2008.

Now I'm on a quest to live life to the fullest ... I run,

bike, hike, kayak and like healthy food and red wine.

I share hope through living, speaking and writing.
