Jasmine Burney, a resident of Orlando, FL who has years of experience contributing to social justice and candidate campaigns across the state of Florida. That work has granted her a vast knowledge of the political landscape at the local, state and national level identifying the stakeholders who work tirelessly for Florida's disenfranchised communities.

She began her career organizing for the first African-American Mayor of Daytona Beach, Yvonne Scarlet Golden. Her work granted her the opportunity to assist in voter contact for the historical campaign of Barack Obama in 2008.

In 2010 Jasmine was recruited by the high profile gubernatorial race for Alex Sink for Governor as a Finance Assistant helping to fundraise $27M in contributions. She transitioned from that role on the campaign to the Field Director exceeding voter contact goals for communities of color in Orlando. Her passion for social justice and workers rights continued after taking a role with Working America as the Office and HR Manager, recruiting diverse talent to protect residents rights to work and earn a living wage in a right to work state.

Her work stood out among Florida's leaders in social justice and candidate campaigns and she became a Political Consultant leading outreach efforts for organizations bridging the gap between their issues and disenfranchised communities by becoming the African-American Outreach Director(Democracy At Stake) for judicial retention, Deputy Executive Director(Florida's Next Leaders) for progressive candidate recruitment and Campaign Coordination(Virginia Whittington for Orange County Commission District 6 & Geraldine Thompson for Florida Senate) for local and state level candidates.

She advanced her career ensuring that Florida’spublic policy represents the interests of low-income, working-class families. In2014-2016 she took on the fight for environmental justice as the Operations and Political Director for Nextgen Climate Action, an environmental advocacy organization with a goal to increase clean energy to 50% by the year 2030. She enlisted the expertise of community, business, political and faith leaders to find ways to make this goal a reality.

Most recently she lead the statewide civic engagement effort for a multi-faith and denomination organization by training their leaders in voter contact strategies, providing them with the tools to engage their congregations in the 2016 election and coach
