Jason Loia

A longtime technology executive, Jason Loia serves as chief operating officer (COO) of Unravel, a social trivia app that provides a fun and intuitive way of learning about other people online. In guiding Unravel as a start-up, Jason Loia has obtained funding from top tier venture capital firms, such as Benchmark and Redpoint. He hired talent from companies such as Lucas Arts, Raptr, and EA in creating a meaningful gaming experience that attracts dedicated users.

Jason Loia previously led Digital Chocolate as COO and spearheaded a move from premium gaming to Free to Play as a revenue model. This reflected market trends in which virtual currency and in-app purchases on mobile devices exceeded the revenue generated from standard premium pricing structures. Mr. Loia has incorporated a number of innovative features in the Unravel app, including the use of coins as reward for successfully unraveling other users by answering questions about them. Coins enable access to premium features such as Match Me and Unlock All.
