Jeff Koehler Oneonta

A resident of Brewster, New York, Jeff Koehler studies business economics at the State University of New York at Oneonta. He maintains a 3.23 overall GPA and, for two consecutive years, he has earned the Greek Silver Scholar award in recognition of his academic success. Engaged in several campus organizations, Jeff Koehler participates in the university’s marketing club, OnMark, and serves as a founder and president of the Oneonta State Golf Club.

Interested in attaining a professional position in marketing, finance or sales, Mr. Koehler completed a college financial representative internship with Northwestern Mutual in New York City. There, he conducted phone calls with previously contacted prospective clients and worked in collaboration with full-time representatives to confer with potential clients and design financial plans. He also passed the examination for the Life Accident and Health Insurance certification and achieved an extension of the summer internship to six months based on his performance.

A member of Chi Phi Fraternity, Jeff Koehler has served in several leadership positions for his chapter. As community service chairman, he arranged the fraternity’s participation in several charitable events, including fundraising walks held by the Brewster High School S.A.L.T.Y. Hands Club in support of cystic fibrosis research. He also provided academic assistance for Chi Phi members struggling with their coursework while acting as scholarship chairperson.
