As assistant director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Ventura County Medical Center, Jeff Robinson, MD, builds on more than more than 27 years of professional experience. He entered medical school as a graduate of the University of Colorado, from which he had earned a dual degree in biochemistry and molecular biology. Jeff Robinson, MD, received his professional degree in 1984 and subsequently relocated to California, where he completed an internship and residency in family practice.
After completing his residency, Jeff Robinson, MD, accepted an invitation to a staff position with Ventura County Medical Center's Emergency Department. He took on a similar role at nearby Santa Paula Hospital in 1989 and has remained in both roles since that time. Dr Robinson was subsequently named assistant director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at both institutions Dr. Robinson continues to draw on extensive experience with such lifesaving measures as neonatal resuscitation, advanced cardiac life support, and advanced trauma life support. An instructor of several life support systems, including pediatric advanced life support, he also contributes to his community as founder of a charity event that operates through the Ventura County Medical Center's Emergency Department.
