A retired United States Marine, Jeff Schwilk managed hundreds of military personnel for over 15 years as an intelligence chief in various Marine Corps units. He served three years as a senior intelligence manager at the Marine Corps’ Miramar Air Station in San Diego, California, and three years as a senior intelligence manager at Camp Pendleton, the Marine Corps base near Oceanside, California. Jeff Schwilk’s duties included producing and organizing hundreds of Division intelligence reports for the War on Terror and serving as an advisor in security and terrorism.

Years after leaving the military, Jeff Schwilk reported on border and immigration issues in and around San Diego for the online newspaper Examiner.com. During the course of his year with the Examiner, he wrote more than 50 articles, using a hard-hitting journalistic style.

Outside of work, Mr. Schwilk enjoys a healthy lifestyle by eating right and hiking regularly. He is also an avid sailor who has taken excursions along the southern California coast and around Catalina Island.
