Jeffrey Douglas Kaliel is a respected presence in the Washington, D.C. legal community who has served as class counsel in a variety of putative class action lawsuits. A focus of Jeffrey Douglas Kaliel is on cases that involve banking, and the consumer financial services sector in particular. He has represented claims on behalf of class members across specific states, as well as those extending across the United States.

Known for his methodical approach to achieving results, Mr. Kaliel employs a data-informed discovery that takes into consideration the input of information technology and economics specialists when building damages models. Since earning his juris doctor at Yale University 14 years ago, he has resolved dozens of cases by settlement, which provided millions of class members with relief that totaled in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Mr. Kaliel is presently involved in a number of ongoing putative class action lawsuits as class counsel. These include Chandler et al. v. Arvest Bank, No. 3:18-cv-00043 (E.D. Ark.) and Woolley et al., v. Ygrene Energy Fund, Inc. et al., No. 3:17-cv-01258 (N.D. Cal.). His background extends to service with the U.S. Armed Forces, and he was stationed in Iraq in the early 2000s.
