Jenna Siegel

Hello!! My name is Jenna Siegel and I am a freshman studying Special Education at The Ohio State University.

Strengths Quest:

My StrengthsQuest top 5 strengths are input, adaptability, intellection, learner, and positivity. My favorite of the strengths was positivity because I was surprised to find that I was assigned it. I consider myself to be a quite sarcastic person so I was not anticipating this strength. Then, as I thought about it, I remembered that I am often told that I am constantly smiling and happy to be around. I guess I never really noticed how much of personality this was. I think my positivity makes me come off as more approachable so I have an easier time making friends.

My Ohio State Tradition:

My Ohio State tradition is creating a multi-cultural holiday season. Most of the friends I have made here are Catholic and celebrate Christmas and I am Jewish and celebrate Hanukkah. As we got to know each other, we shared stories about our childhoods and found that we all are obsessed with the holiday season, even though we celebrate different holidays. We decided that we would merge our cultures and share our personal traditions to make a new tradition of celebrating a multicultural holiday season.

Dream Job:

My dream job is to be a Special Education teacher. I would love to spend my days working with intellectually disabled students. We needed to bring a job description to class which gave me the opportunity to research the best states to work in and the average salary I will make. It cemented in my mind that this is the position I hope to hold.
