Jennifer Breakspear is committed to making a difference and this commitment has guided her throughout her life and her career.

Jennifer is the Executive Director of Options for Sexual Health (Opt), the largest sexual and reproductive health care provider in Canada, where she leads an innovative health care organisation in the delivery of sexual health care, education and information to support healthy sexuality for all.

Before Opt Jennifer led QMUNITY – BC’s Queer Resource Centre. As Executive Director she led the organisation through a major rebranding effort, significantly increased the organisation’s profile and established QMUNITY as the authoritative resource on LGTB issues.

Over the years Jennifer has contributed her time, talents and passion to organisations making a difference locally and around the world. Some of these include; Amnesty International, Canadian Blood Services, Zee Zee Theatre, Vantage Point, Connaught Housing Co-operative.

Jennifer is an activist, leader, writer, media commentator, wife, sister, daughter, auntie, bass player, paddler, and cyclist. Recently Jennifer was featured by her alma mater, Carleton University, as a notable alumni. That article can be found here
