Jenny Doren

Thanks for stopping by! I'm an experienced multimedia journalist who craves the adrenaline rush that comes with breaking news. I love flexing my creative muscles through reporting, shooting video and producing compelling stories. I respect the hard work that goes into all aspects of television news and have taken it upon myself to tackle nearly every job in the newsroom.

I currently report and fill-in anchor for ABC7 & NewsChannel 8 in Washington, D.C. I am a "one woman show" who shoots, writes and edits "live" reports for the weekday nightly newscasts. Previously, I was a content producer for NBC Washington. I was also a digital reporter for "Foodies" and "Scene in DC" on NBC Washington Nonstop.

Before moving to our nation's capitol, I was a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor at WCIA-TV in Champaign, Illinois. I spent three years working for the market leader.

I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Michigan and received my master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. During a quarter of my graduate studies, I served as a Washington correspondent for WILX-TV in Lansing, Michigan.

Please email me for my resume and a link to my reel.
