She found her Niche, helping others through her creativity.I was born in UCLA, raised in Watts and through out my life I had the pleasure of seeing two worlds thanks to my mother's job. I've had a blessed life and all of what I've been through has guided me to be where I am now, here, writing to you about who I am. I'm Jes, a person who has pain everyday, a chronic illness, spine issues and on the daily doing things to ease that pain. I don't complain about it so you won't know something is wrong with me because you can't see my pain unless i'm bed ridden or stiff and i'm walking like a penguin. Its what I call an Invisible pain. This should give you a little insight about why I do all I do to create awareness about Chronic Illness, Mental Illness, Mental Health and Health.I am a child and family psychotherapist working with child, adolescent and family clinical psychology. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Concordia University and master’s degrees in clinical psychology and marriage and family therapy from Argosy University. I have also completed various courses in public health and research and community design.I help companies and networks become connected; those who support efforts are for family and children, whether it is in education, health and/or in technology (social media/Blogging). I enjoy helping as a clinician, social media person, and as child and family advocate. My Goals are to Motivate, Encourage, Educate and Help Lives. Through my Business’ and ongoing partnerships such as, Bloggers of Health (BOH) and Turning leaves Foundation (TLF), and Partnerships with Latinos in technology innovation in social Media (LATISM), National Latina Women’s Business Association (NLWBA), I am grateful to have the opportunities where I can show and tell how one can be active in helping educate about mental health and child and family advocacy through Social Media engagement.I have a strong background in community advocacy. I began helping seniors at the Watts Health Organization in my home community of Watts, California, followed by volunteer work at King/Drew Hospital; La Viña en Los Angeles, Inc.; McArthur Park community events and various food banks during the holidays.
