Why I'm excited to attend the OWYP Summer Training Conference
One World Youth Project's Summer Training Conference (STC) is a week-long initiative geared at equipping Project Manager Fellows (PMFs) with the skills needed to effectively manage their local hub teams. As a returning PMF I am most excited about connecting with a new group of student-leaders. University students are not usually afforded the opportunity to connect with other students from around the world in leadership positions, muchless have meaningful discussions on issues that are pertinent in this interconnected era.
STC provides an opportunity for us to collaborate, and enables us to forge the bonds neccessary to ensure cohesion and effective communication regardless of each other's nationality and cultural background.I believe that this experience will once again allow me to hone the skills needed to be an even better Project Manager, and I truly look forward to the journey ahead.
