Jimit Rokadia

Namaste everyone. I graduated from IIT-BHU (Indian Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University) as a top ranker. Hence, I was conferred with a gold medal. I have worked as a manager in electrical department with India’s biggest private sector company Reliance Industries Ltd. (RIL) for over three years.

Professionally, I believe constant growth and learning have no limit regardless of our age or position. My passion for bringing innovativeness in my work helped me to complete a pioneer assignment involving health monitoring of vacuum circuit breakers using numerical relays. It was indeed a testimony to my proven inventiveness that I was given this independent resopnsibility under the direct orders of Senior Vice President. I made clever use of various unexplored features of relay to display the operating time of the circuit breaker poles on the relay display screen itself – previously accessible solely with a prohibitively expensive breaker testing kit. The introduction of this feature earned me site-wide accolades from peers and seniors leading to an immediate promotion to Manager post my training period with single-handed responsibility to handle all the plant activities.

My leadership skills and collaborative attitude led me to organize various cultural programs and safety campaigns. Upon joining RIL, the freshly joined trainees were required to hold a cultural program by next month. Albeit having shy resource availability to organize such a large scale program I took the initiative of leading the organizing team and proactively made it a huge success further honing my skills of budget optimization and operational streamlining.

I am basically a cool-minded person with a passion for dance and adventure. I always like to turn negative events into positive learning experiences. With a "never give up" attitude, I hope to deliver the best in each task. Showing a great deal of integrity has been a part and parcel of both my personal and professional life. Lastly, I would like to say that I am always open to positive criticism which helps me grow in the long run and hone my leadership and team skills.
