Joseph Makkar

Joseph Makkar started acting when given a scholarship to acting school at the age of 10. Since then, his mentor and acting coach, Chip Fields stood aside him as he auditioned for his first role in Touchstone Picture's "Down and Out in Beverly HIlls" and his admission to the west coast's premier high school of the arts, LACHSA. Since then, his resume not only included roles opposite A-list actors but direction by top box office directors such as Ridley Scott, Gregory Hoblitt and the like. Joseph Makkar has also performed voice overs in films (The Gladiator with Russel Crowe, The Seige with Annette Benning and Denzel Washington), and modeled for print work. His long term vision for his career has helped build his business acumen, knowing that his education should entail contributions to others' lives as well. He is truly blessed as he prospers through business consulting and is an entrepreneur and is owner of multiple enterprises. His academic background includes both undergrad and executive masters business degrees from Pepperdine University. Joseph is a father of three daughters and is happily married, living in Los Angeles. Among his best friends are both Churchill (English Bull Dog) and Gizmo (a brilliant calico cat). His non-profit work includes several animal rescue organizations and is a huge proponent for the advancement of integrative medicine in the field of veterinary medicine. The demand for healing, using modalities other than drugs or harmful methods is here so we need to support the journey of the pioneers that are making it happen. Interested parties, please go to www.ahvma.org and click on the donations link. Also, there are many hungry people during this economic crisis and any help for orphans, the hungry and education for the less fortunate will make our world a better place. Of course the caveat to donating to anything is to make sure the organization is performing the work it is supposed to, and the recipients of the cause are really getting the help.

My take is to be heavily involved with any organization you choose, don't just donate----participate!
