Joni Daidone
Who am I? Good question. Well, I’m curious and quirky. Passionate about everything I do. Someone who’s trying to make a difference. A former boss once jokingly called me the Mother Teresa of advertising who leads by serving others. And leaves her ego at the door. But I’m no saint, and have been known for a sinfully wicked wit. Essentially I believe in business growth through socially-responsible creative leadership. Translation? Well, I jump through burning hoops for client partners. Fight the good fight for great ideas. Loose sleep on midnight calls with creative teams from LA to Paris to Tokyo. Mentor scores of young (and old) creative, planning and account folks -- not to mention clients. And consistently create rewarding experiences between people and brands. (And I only work on brands/products/services I believe in. Clients I respect. And creative people who have lives outside of advertising.) I’ve helped companies like IBM, Microsoft, JP Morgan Chase, AT&T;, Pfizer -- as well as scrappy start-ups and dot.coms -- make mega-millions in revenue. Along the way no lives were lost -- and I’ve always managed to laugh at the absurdity of it all. When I'm not helping to create or evolve a brand, I focus on my true passion. Making a difference through promoting and supporting non-profit organizations that focus on kids, education, the arts and community development. I'm on the International Board of Ninos del Lago, an educational nature camp and mentoring camp in Central America, am co-director of ArtEast Open Studio Tour in Dutchess County, and have been active in the International Center of NY, First Day NY, the Fresh Air Fund and other organizations trying to make bring positive change to both local and international communities.
