As President and CEO of Market Strategies, Joanne has spent the last 22 years consulting on public sector healthcare programs. A proven business development professional, she has helped her clients win over $40 billion in Federal and State contracts. Her experience includes TRICARE, Veterans Health, Medicare and Medicaid. She continues her consulting practice today with an eye toward innovative clients working to transform healthcare through person-centric models.

For much of her consulting career, Joanne has been sketching various versions of a new healthcare system on napkin backs and white boards. She firmly believes that while we can continue to change policy and tweak systems, the only way to save our healthcare system is to help people learn how to stay healthy.

In 2005, she founded Cybercise. Cybercise is a simple portal to stream animated exercise videos, on demand. Exercise is important, of course, but she also recognized the need for a more holistic approach to help people get healthy. Next came Move.Eat.Be., a comprehensive wellness solution which delivers a holistic, personalized wellness program within a lively, community-focused web portal. Move.Eat.Be. recognizes everyone is different and supports each person as they find their own path to lifelong, sustainable wellness. Move.Eat.Be. helps each person become their own "Chief Nourishment Officer" and is also available as e-books for the Kindle, iBooks and Nook.

And for something completely different (she needed another project), Joanne wrote a book about her dog, Desmond. During Desmond's cancer treatments she Tweeted Desmond's status to family and friends @desmondthelab. In the book, each tweet narrates a story about Desmond's adventures leading up to how his ultimate sacrifice saved her son's life. The story also provides a subtle narrative about respecting life by accepting death when it is time.

Joanne has a BS in Business Administration and a MA from Tai Sophia Institute in Applied Healing Arts. She is a certified personal trainer, a RYT200 yoga teacher, a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and is an AADP Board Certified Holistic Health Coach.
