Joel Mathews

Born and raised on the eastside of Indianapolis, Indiana. Grew up in a religious home, where the Bible was taught and the name Jesus was common. However, I had no interest in my religious upbringing and pursued life of hedonism (pleasure-seeking). This continued until my freshmen year of college. It was there I began to see my hedonistic pursuit as cyclical. As I pursued this lifestyle more aggressively I began longing for more than the status quo. I was introduced to the gospel at a New Years conference in 2008-2009 and soon after God pursued me, broke me, broke in, and re-directed my desires. I am now a Indiana State University grad, have recently been employed by Campus Outreach as a Campus Staff in the Indianapolis Region and am living a life of hedonism in Christ Jesus. #Lifelong laborer/learner.
