Joelen Tan

Joelen Tan is the avid Chicago food blogger behind What's Cookin, Chicago, who loves sharing culinary adventures in & out of the kitchen. She created her blog to coincide with her culinary group with the same namesake where Joelen hosts various events from informal culinary classes, themed potlucks, neighborhood food tours, and so much more. To build on What's Cookin, Chicago, Joelen also created What's Pouring, Chicago (dedicated to all things wine) and What's Cookin, Mama (dedicated to bringing food, moms and children together). In addition to managing these three groups, she is a private caterer/chef for individual clients and also works with social media teams of major food companies including Frito Lay, Pepperidge Farm, Sara Lee, Eli's Cheesecake, etc. Joelen has also been recognized and featured in Saveur Magazine, The Nest Magazine, Chicago WGN News, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Red Eye, and Chicago Public Radio to name a few.
