John Basial

Attorney in Magisterial District 9-3-3

Hi, I'm John. You may notice that this campaign website is not like everyone else's expensive campaign website. That's because I'm not like them...I'm like YOU. I hate politics, but I love serving my community, which is why I'm running for Magisterial District Judge--to serve OUR community.

Let's get the biography out of the way.

I have almost three decades of experience in civil. criminal, and family law, the kind of broad-based judicial knowledge that equips me to say I am ready to hold court on day one.

That's all well and good, but what you really care about is WHY I'm running.

Now more than ever we need a Judge who works for the people because he is one of them and knows their struggles, their daily sacrifices and their hopes for a better life for themselves and their children.

I am a product of the American dream-just like you. None of my grandparents went to high school. Not because they didn’t want to, but because each one of them had to leave school early, as children, to work and help provide for their families during some of the hardest times this country has ever known. Times much like today-job insecurity and an unresponsive bureaucracy that over looks ordinary Americans like you and I.

I represent the little guy. People like you and me. One of my proudest moments as an attorney was fighting for a Mom, Dad and their disabled daughter who were in danger of losing their home at the hands of one of the wealthiest private land owners in central PA. After their first attorney quit I signed on to help them get justice...and I did!!!

I couldn't have gotten here on my own. I had help from my family, friends and the support of good people like you. Likewise, I can't continue to serve the community as Magisterial District Judge without you. I'll be introducing myself more in the next several weeks on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/JohnBasialforDistrictJudge), by mail, and in person. In the meantime, please reach out, let's have a conversation, and give me a chance to earn your vote on May 18th.
