John Broman Grape City

A longtime English teacher for Grape City, Inc., and its sister company, MeySen Academy, John Broman holds a bachelor of science from the State University of New York and an early childhood teaching certificate from Tamagawa University in Japan. He joined MeySen Academy as an English teacher for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. For more than 25 years, he taught English both at MeySen and at Nanjing Foreign Language School. In 1997, he became the vice principal of the English Department at MeySen Academy, with responsibility for overseeing daily operations; he also served as a substitute teacher when needed.

John Broman led the creation of the MeySen High School English Program in 1999 and spent five years teaching evening classes. Currently serving as chairman of the MeySen Academy Board of Regents, he continues to hire English teachers for the academy and oversee its student programs in the United States. Additionally, he assists with the development of new student programs in Europe and Australia and helps lead the Grape City offices in America.
