Clinician / Counsellor Mental Health & Addictions in Auckland, New Zealand

I am a clinician and counsellor based in New Zealand, specializing in mental health and addiction. My work is deeply personal to me because it comes from lived experience. For many years, I struggled with addiction to alcohol and other substances, and it cost me my identity, relationships, and sense of purpose. Since becoming clean and sober in October 2021, I have committed my life to recovery, growth, and helping others do the same.

I hold a Bachelor of Health Science in Mental Health and Addictions, along with postgraduate qualifications, and I am a DAPAANZ registered practitioner. In my work, I support individuals, couples, and groups using both evidence-based approaches and culturally grounded models like Te Whare Tapa Whā and the Fonofale framework. I am especially passionate about supporting Māori and Pasifika communities through holistic, whānau-centred care.

I believe in accountability, honesty, and consistency. Recovery is not instant, but it is possible. Today, I use my story to connect with others and show that change can happen. My goal is to continue growing in my field and eventually build a private practice that helps those still struggling with addiction and mental health challenges.
