John Hustaix
Associate
Following internships at Deloitte & Touche, Ireland, and King & Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin, Luxembourg, John Hustaix took on the role of supervising associate at Elvinger Hoss Prussen, Luxembourg City, in November 2014. In 2019, Mr Hustaix moved to the firm Arendt & Medernach SA, also as a supervising associate.
While in these roles, Mr Hustaix supervised up to five associates on single files and gained extensive experience in the field of EU investment management. He provided advice on mutual and hedge funds for the setup of cross-border strategies, including the product setup, merger, and liquidation and investor relationships at Wellington Management.
In October 2022, Mr Hustaix made the move to Sydney, accepting the post of senior associate at Hogan Lovells Australia. His remit included working on private funds set up for APAC sponsors, including close-ended venture capital limited partnerships and open-ended managed investment trusts. He also was responsible for the supervision of two to three associates.
Investment management and private fundraising have been longstanding professional interests of Mr Hustaix. He firmly believes that funds increase the capacity of corporations and entrepreneurs to access global capital via the intermediary of professionals with links to global financial institutions and individual savers.

He’s also an amateur hiker, having completed a 6-day trail in the Valais region of Switzerland and a 16-day hike on France’s Stevenson Trail.
