I graduated from the University of Florida in December of 2014 with my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology along with a minor in Entrepreneurship. I am currently in my third semester of University of Florida's Accelerated BSN program and will graduate with my nursing degree in August of 2016.

My family owns and operates an assisted living facility that specializes in Alzheimer's and dementia which I was involved with throughout high school and college. This has been my primary exposure to the medical field and to the field of nursing more specifically.

Despite the fact that I have experience in geriatrics, I would like to work in a NICU after graduating. Other areas of nursing that interest me include Labor and Delivery and Mother-Baby units. After gaining a few years experience, I would like to return to school for my DNP.

When I take a break from nursing school I enjoy spending time with Sofie, my Pomeranian-Yorkie. I take her to the nature trails throughout Gainesville as well as to the creek to swim. I also enjoy going to the beach and spending time with friends and family.
